    More MOC Thor questions

Over the last year I have been trying to reacquire my Mego WGSH collection. I have been purchasing loose figures and then getting reproduction boxes for them which is good enough for me. I know some people collect these figures sealed on their original cards and I have the opportunity to purchase a Thor mint on the card for what could be a decent price but I would like to get some more information before checking the item out in person. I am pretty much a novice when it comes to the carded figure so as this might not be something I keep in my personal collection and the most money I have spent on a single figure I would like to be armed with as much information as possible.

Is there an easy way to tell if it’s vinyl cape Thor or not?

Does it matter what year the card is?

What else should I be looking for?

What's the lower end price range for these figures?

    Thanks in advance,

Turned out being a Mego 8" WGSH Thor incomplete missing his wristbands, slightly stained outfit, but vinyl cape with his 1979 card were someone just cut the bubble off so the card is intact, in decent shape with slight fading, and a few scuffs mark but not what I was hoping for and was asking way too much.

cardedthor4.JPGcardedthor.JPG Be very careful when buying a carded Thor. Here is an example of my Thor which is period correct except for the wrist bands. The card is custom made by me. I consider myself a novice at this Mego hobby. If I can make a card this realistic there must be others with much more skill out there at doing this. In my opinion unless your super rich, having an original Mego on a custom card is the way to go.

A loose thor with original cape, helmet, hammer and wristbands in nice shape can cost 150-300$
A boxed thor (MIB) may cost anything between $600-1000 depending on the condition of the box.
A carded thor is VERY expensive... check on ebay and see... If I am not wrong we are talking about 4000-5000$...
