Who sells the better Mego body

For awhile know I have been buying naked Mego bodies to use for my customs. I am also replacing my Mattel bodies with them. Today I ran into a problem. On leg just fell apart. Knowing this happens back when they new I was wondering if the new repro bodies stand up better?

Does Dr. Mego's at last CTVT? I have seen a lot of negative feedback about STVT but nobody says what happened. Any help would be great. Next month I plan on one putting an order in so I can have extra new bodies to customize.

Just because they're gone doesn't mean suddenly the quality disappears. If you want the best, you want CAW.

My personal opinion on Re-MEGO quality is as follows:

        Cast A Way
        EMCE
        Zica

CTVT doesn't make the cut because I don't own any, but I have not heard good things.

The problem is you cannot order blank bodies from those companies.

            True.

I would go with Doc/EMCE. Otherwise you're only renting CTVT until it breaks and then you have to buy Doc/EMCE's body anyway.

The arms and legs on Doc's body are solid PVC. A HUGE improvement.

              Hmmmm....

Doc's bods are pretty good; especially the swivel arm ones. There are some problems with the softer upper arms and the tight bands, but nothing that can't be dealt with.

CTVT stuff is good if you're doing a lot of customs. Their bodies are cheaper, but they often have problems; like cracked feet and hands. If you're doing customs and can replace these easily it's not a big deal. (I cast new ones. Same with any problems from the CTVT shoulders poppping into the body, or the connector hole on a Docbod's shoulder snapping.)

One thing: NEVER use a CTVT female body. They're horrible, especially the neckless ones. Doc's female bodies are the only way to go.

I have Type 2 original figures that suffer from the connector hole issue.

Would restringing Doc's body using the hook swivels from a vintage T2 help?
