Cast-a-Way Toys Purple Phantom Head Q

Hi,
Just a general question, but were there any variations to the head of the purple phantom, from the first release to the last.

For example the expression on the face of this Phantom:

Or is the head on the first picture above (The Phantom sitting on Throne) a custom head?

Do the expressions look different? Maybe it's too early in the morning for me to tell, I wonder if it's how the lighting casts shadows. To my limited knowledge there was not different head sculpts beside the prototype Charlie Flatt one.

The one sitting on the throne appears to me to have a more serious look and a crease above the eyes, on his forehead.
On the second head there is no such line.

Or perhaps it could as you say, be all to do with the lighting.
But it does look different to me anyway!

Looks the same to me other than the first image appears to be a prototype due to paint and material of outfit but I think Dave or Jason can clarify it.

Yep. My Phantom sits on his throne overlooking my office every day. All of the Phantom variants are there too. One of my most beloved lines.

Does Castaway even still exist? I loved their body and was hoping to eventually stock up.

Castaway is gone but will NEVER be forgotten. Great company, great people. The victim of a criminal factory overseas who took possession of their molds.

I remember when that happened but thought they were working to get Flash Gordon made. I remember talking to them at the meet about it.

Shame, their body and hands were great. Loved the bicep swivel.

I knew when they were making the Phantom line, this was a special company with great ideas. They truly thought outside the box and have the product to show for it. It's a shame the factory did them in. There is no telling where Castaway could have taken us. I still hope for their resurrection one day. You just never know!

Hey, if people keep pumping money into Shocker Toys, then these guys (who were never out to screw anybody, and took great pains to make things right with anybody who accidentally got slighted) definitely should get a second chance!

I still have my Phantom, and a few other CAT products, and they were very high quality!

Maybe we can help get a new endeavor up and running with a kickstarter.
