Putting boots on your action figures?

Is there a way to put boots on your figures when they don't want to slid on? I was thinking maybe baby powder or some kind of lube but I don't want to mess up the figure or the boots. Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

what figure are you talking about? and what style of boots?

reason I ask is because - if you are using reproduction teen boots from the doc - I soak them in warm water for an hour and then they will slide right on a lion rock body.

If you are talking original boots - I would not due that in fear of them splitting.

if you are talking about castaway boots - you can do the same thing
or you can use a hair dryer on them (Just do not put it to close - do it from a distance) this will soften them up enough to get on - ten mins later they will be back to hard as a rock.

if you need more help - just let me know
    Good luck

Thanks for the reply Vinnie. I wanted to know for a Bullet Man figure. I'll try your suggestions. Thanks.

If I'm correct Bullet man has no pants. If that is the case use just a pinch of hand lotion on the feet and also the inside of the boots. use one that will not stain, and really just a small dab. This should slide them right on with no problem at all.

just use a colorless lotion to make sure there is no long tern damage to the figure (if you use a red or blue it might discolor the foot or bottom leg)

best bet might even be to use just the warm water let the boots soak in it for 15 mins and then dip his feet and try to slide them right on using just the water.

Pure unscented talcum powder works well--apply a bit insit the boot with a q-tip. Talc is mineral-based & pretty stable

I personally would not use cornstarch or any oils or lotions.

As a kid, my dad showed me to rub some talcum powder in the Bulletman Boots to slip them back on and it worked.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Going to give talcum a try.
