Type 1 body with no copyright date on back

Hello,

Im new to collecting megos, and my wife bought me my first WGSH Spiderman Type 1 last week. The spiderman head has 1972 on it, but the back of the actual body just says copyright mego corp with no date. Does that mean anything? Or do some T1 bodies just not have a date on them?

It should have the date in Roman numerals.
