Vinyl Cape Batman ??

the vinyl capes make so much more sense than the fray-cape, i wish it was standard issue instead of a costly variant

To me - I could be wrong - but it seems like Mego ran out of the Nylon Material and used some Pool liner LOL I guess times were tough

I think that you are correct. I've always wondered that myself. There must have been a few days where they ran out of the cape material and used what they had!

it's just colored versions of the vinyl they coated the playsets with isn't it?

^ good question, i always assumed it was more like the the material the gloves were made from... but the batman vinyl cape appears thicker than say thor's vinyl version

The 12" Batman's cape was made with that material. They must have ran out of the materail for the 8" and used the 12" material.
