Hey guys. I know I have something very special here, I was just wondering if anybody could give me some more insight as to the value of the figure with the box, which is in excellent shape. Let me know what you think.
i am definitely no expert, but that outfit apperars to be a later version that was not released in the solid box. the cape (and maybe cowl) seem to be repro. what is the history of this piece? does the box have the small cardboard insert?
even with repro parts, if the box is original it is worth quite a bit of money---nice
If you take pics of all sides of the box including top and bottom, then it would be easier to make an valued assessment. Also, does the grey jumpsuit have the elastic stirrups on the feet?
Here are some more pictures. The history of this is that I came across an old storage facility with this stuff. I knew his wife and he passed away and she asked if I could sell the contents for her. The guy who used to own it operated a coin, comics and card shop. There were just a few MEGO figures, but this one seems to be one of the most important/valuable ones he had. Any help with the pictures, would be wonderful. Thanks, gang.
Amazing, the box is authentic with it's cardboard insert but the outfit is not stirrup and the boots not skinny. The box alone is worth a lot but the figure seems like it was reconstituted with later boots and gloves although it doesn't look like repro. Not sure about the cowl and cape being authentic though.
