Garage sale find.... who is he?

Hey everyone, picked this guy up at a garage sale last weekend and i have no idea who he is. Taller than 8" Mego figures, T2 style body, no markings that i can find on the body or neck. I've looked around in the galleries and i'm not coming up with anything. I don't recognize the head sculpt. Can anyone help with the id? Thanks!

Sorry to Hi-jack here, But hoping to get a little history lesson. So did Matchbox buy the old Mego Molds or did they just blatently "Rip-off" the classic Mego 9" body design???

I have the same Maxx FX.It came in regular clothes and clothes and items to make him up as Freddy Krueger.Originally it was planned to do him as Frankenstein, Dracula and other famed monsters but they never got that far.Too bad, would have been a great line of figures. Here is the link.

Creator of Maxx, Mel Birnkrant gives a loving and exhaustive look into what would have been and what went wrong. He's brilliant and this is really something everyone should read, gives you a lot of insight into the perils of the toy industry.

I never noticed this line from the last read but wow it's interesting:

Next, in the course of pricing out the product, Matchbox discovered a warehouse full of surplus 10”Mego figures. Thus, they opted out of doing an expensive and better articulated 11" GI Joe sized figure, and decided to take the cheap route and go with recycled Mego dolls instead.

Yeah, I think I caught that last time I read through that site. So that means Maxx FX has 100% real Mego bodies.

                      Thanks palitoy for the link.
I remember collector/speculators going crazy over the talking Freddy Krueger doll at the time. The buzz was that Matchbox was dicontinuing it and it was gonna be worth a fortune. Sadly Maxx FX was doomed to the same fate, for having come out with a Freddy outfit in the first release. As cool as Maxx was, I don't think Conserned Interest Groups would have missed him as an evil toy, if he had not been released with the Freddy outfit. I heard: "Toy companies have no business making toys of rated-R movie characters, that's just wrong". As cool as the other outfits were and are, and aimed at the older boys into action heroes, American Werewolf in London, Friday the 13th, and Alien, were rated-R movies.

Hey,I found one of that guy though mine was not in the correct outfit and was re-rubberbanded by a hair scrunhie! He is a Talbot ninja, but the mold was recycled from Luca from LJN's swat team line. Here's the link(On another note, they must have had hair variations,as yours has a lighter and darker brown, but the one in Megolike's pic has blonde...)

<>_<> I will always be watching you, always.

Large size Robin scaled with the 12" Batman uses this body too right?

                            And the Logan's Run prototypes?

That was a great read, though I think he is wrong about the value of the Universal license.
