12" Spiderman...couple of questions about his head

I picked up a 12" Spiderman today and noticed that the back of the head is stamped "DC Comics Inc. 1977" (even though it should be stamped Marvel) . Also, it is stamped "707". I read here in the museum, that Mego corrected this by putting the "Marvel" over the DC. My head was not corrected and I was wondering if this "version" is very rare. Also, does anyone know what the "707" refers to?

Any info. is greatly appreciated.

I just checked and my 12" Spiderman reads "Marvel Comics Group 1977" on the back of his head.

There are three different 12" Spideys...one is a "skinny" Canadian issue which has the DC Comics stamp, then there is a taller, more muscular American version that has the correct Marvel stamp, and lastly there's the Web-Spinning version with a special right arm you fill with web fluid.

mine is muscular and not skinny....early Canadian issue perhaps? I do live in Canada
