To clothe or not to clothe, that is the question

I am in the process of fixing up my original Star Trek crew. My Capt Kirk figure was in good shape, but he had no accessories and his clothes were trashed. So I bought a vintage Kirk in excellent shape with everything ($30 on eBay). I plan to purchase a phaser and communicators from Dr Mego to complete the other guys ($5 x 2 + $7 shipping).

For an extra $15, I could also get a new outfit and accessories for my original Kirk. My question is: do you folks think that I will be able to recoup that $15 when selling him? Or should I just sell him sans-clothing?

you can usually get Trek figures pretty cheap fully clothed so i would think you might not even recoup the $15.00. if you are looking to sell then sell him as is and recoup some of what you spent on the new figure

Thanks for the response. You're right. It doesn't make sense to invest more in him. I just was trying to justify spending $7 shipping for repro weapons. I may have found someone on the forum to buy the figure as-is. Thanks! Paul
