Is the CIPSA Cornelius head black or dark brown?

    Hello all,

I noticed few of original Cipsa Cornelius head has a black hair and sometimes are dark brown hair in our MM member's private collection and Websites.

I just wanted to know for sure what color hair he have before I'll repainting Mego Galen head with green years that I made modified Mego/Cipsa POTA Cornelius body that need minor touch up or repainting, I can do that myself.

My Project CIPSA Cornelius - Custom Works in Progress

    Please let me know, thanks.

Or faded eyes color? I think when it was new had redish-brown or brown? Just curious.

Can ya take pics outside without camera flash in the day time? It'll helps me to see it well.

Oh, OK. Thank you for will take a pic outside without the flash by tomorrow is fine.

                BTW,

I found this pic from marmes's CIPSA Apes in the Mego Museum User Gallery.

You were right it's original, I'll painting the red eyes little dark to matches as original for my project Mego/Cipsa Cornelius.

Click this pic 2 times will showing up larger. There's Cipsa Cornelius on the left side, he has the same eyes color as yours.

Thats awesome, glad you found the other picture.Strange but true and like i said before, something i had never noticed before.I also had never noticed the dimple in the leg pins. Thanks Pat,i have learned a couple more Cipsa facts, since you started your Custom Cipsa Cornelius Project. I did take some closeups outside today, without the flash and the eyes are definately red.

Looks much better. Thanks for the close ups pics that's helps me to see them well before I go ahead and painting the head and the red eyes with black dots likes yours.

What do you meant "arm pins"? Inside or outside of the body?

Good to have learned a couple more Cipsa facts, since I'm started my Custom Cipsa Cornelius Project. You're welcome.

No problem, happy to be able to help you out with your project.I know what its like to have a missing figure in the Cipsa ape set.My Cipsa Bill is 95% custom,he makes a good stand-in until i can get an all original one. My mistake on the "arm pins",i meant just the leg pin dimples.

Yeah, no one have a complete set of CIPSA POTA.... I saw you have a Cipsa Bill with 90% customs in pic that looks like new when it's released in 1975.

I agreed with you until you and I can get an all original one to finished complete set of 'em.

That's OK for mistake on the "arm pins". I understand what do you meant just the leg pin dimples, glad we're found out that can tell it is an original CIPSA, not from U.S Mego.

I checked my Cipsa Bill, he has one original dimple pin on the left knee and I noticed he have 2 Mego hip pins that's not original to CIPSA flesh body. Oh, well.... I understood that happened to Brian when he bought him from previous owner then he sold it to me.

Here's pics of Bill's legs and pins.

He has a Mego right leg. (I knows that's not B's fault, just a mistake but it's no big deal)
