Kiss Doll Question

Did they(skinny or muscle) come with plastic wrapped around the heads? someone has them for sale, saying plastic is still wrapped around heads.

I'm just going by memory, but I don't remember any of the KISS dolls I bought in retail stores back in the day having plastic wrap around their heads. And the couple MIB ones I've bought since then have had no plastic either.

I think I've only seen the Ace with it

When I ordered mine from Heroes World back in the 70's (still have them too) Ace and Peter had plastic bands around their heads.

Thanks guys, I should have clarified. Not the plastic bands, but there whole head is wrapped. Just wandering.

If you stating the WHOLE head and not just a clear plastic band around the top of the head to hold the hair in place, then I would say that's different from what I have seen. In all the years I've seen them and owned them, I've never witnessed an example of one that had his whole head covered in plastic. BUT that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I would like to see a photo if you have one. This is interesting.

Gene & Paul - No

Oh, whole head, not that I know of. Never seen such a thing, and trust me, I have seen a TON of boxed KISS figures over the years.

I've been paying attention to Mego's Kiss figures since the early 80s (first of all trying to find a loose set... and then trying to find a MIB set... and then watching auctions over the years just for fun). My Ace and Peter just have the headbands and I've never seen the whole head wrapped, either.

These are supposedly case fresh...looks like only Peter and Ace have the small band around the head. Never heard of the entire head being mummified..

I bought them when they were sold back then,..and still do,..only Ace and Peter have these head bands,..

Actually that makes sense, Paul and Gene have tight curls, so that makes their hair less likely to need a band to keep everything in place. Ace and Peter have straighter hair, so a band would come in handy. I don't remember my Ace and Peter having bands, but that was nearly 35 years ago, so what do I know?

Thanks guys, I had never seen it until now, I thought it was strange,
Yea The whole heads are wrapped, They are very nice looking, The guy had them on a classified site, Said he was selling off Kids toys and the wrappers
are still on the heads. Seemed like a nice guy we exchanged a few emails,
Maybe he just doesn't know. I asked him for some close up pics, he said he would, but I haven't seen them or heard from him. I did save the pic he had in
the add, I'll post it tonight.

Yeah, if that dude is selling on something like Craigslist be careful. Lots of scams out there. Protect yourself.
