Is African-American Bubble Yum Baby Any More Rare Than Caucasion?

Yes, I'm actually asking a question about Bubble Yum Baby. I don't think I've ever seen the black version before, but that could be because I've rarely noticed any Bubble Yum Babies before. I saw this one and just figured it was kind of neat.

I've seen few of the white ones at toy shows. As a rule, black dolls didn't sell as well as white dolls. Usually after the holidays, (or even right before, to make room for new merchandise) you'd find black dolls reduced for quick sale. I know this was true of the Ideal Tiffany Taylor hairplay dolls. The white ones sold fast while the black ones were still lingering on the shelves. So, it stands to reason that you'd find the black dolls in better condition, simply b/c they didn't sell. As for value, some toy companies wouldn't make as many black dolls as white b/c they understood this, but made them maybe to comply w/ some civil rights rule.

Ok, I've blabbed enough, so draw your own conclusions.

The balloon gimmick is pretty nifty. And man, I do remember when Bubble Yum became a big deal. All the girls had Bubble Yum in one pocket and a Goodie comb in the other.
