    Mr. Myx Variation?

My friend and fellow Museum member, Spacecaps, brought over his latest Mego acquisitions the other day and I noticed something strange about his Mr.Mxyzptlk. The trim costume very different from mine. The color is completely different. The fabric is also different. The skin tone is a shade darker, the hair color is greyer and the purple on the hat and gloves is slightly different. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before?

Here's a few more pics of the Myx in question. It is not faded. The trim on the suit is a different color all together as is the hair, hat, skin tone, gloves, and suit material.

Is the suit a Lily Ledy suit. Where's Bryan?

After some research, It's not. LL had an almost fuzzy, fake velour, trim. Don't know about this one. Bad run of plastic used for the trim maybe. Does look pretty uniform to be fading. There would be patches at some point. I wonder if the suit was washed in the past and whatever was used caused a uniform fading across the entire trim piece. Soaking for an extended period could cause a complete transformation, even in tight areas that would not be affected by light fading.

Yeah its not the LL suit. The trim isnt fuzzy and here isn't a hint of purple to the trim to suggest that it faded. (That was the first thing I thought) but its so uniformed that the brown is the actual color. thre isn't even the tiniest speck of purple on this guy anywhere. The hat isn't blue like the LL either although from the pics you can see its a different color purple than the standard figure. Also the actual suit is a different texture than the normal one. As for it being washed, the original belt sticker is still on this guy so I don't think its gone through any cycles. I know that can easily be replaced but you can tell that decal is as old as the figure. I'm surprised there hasn't been too many members weighing in on this one!

Very interesting! I like how the colors are more coordinated.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Look's like a little sun bleaching to me.
Interesting how the threading under the collar appears like a dark purple in the bottom photo, which would've been protect by the collar from exposure.
            Hmmm....

              I would guess time/sun fading.
