Ape collectors is the tunic on the right black? The left is definitely blue, but not sure about the other.

It's close, but I am certain it's a very dark blue. The faint blue tint in the flash highlights seal the deal for me. A black tunic would have dead grey highlights.

Look at this pic and you can see that the black cuffed tunic in the front has no blue tint to the flash highlights. The two blue tunics in the back do.

WOW many thanks for taking the time to put those pics together megoapesnut! Excellent point about the flash too! That seals it. When side by side with yours, it's definitely not black. Huh, very, very dark blue could easily fool someone if you're not careful. Glad I ask questions BEFORE buying!

Thats why I am glad I sent the pics of my 2 together wouldnt want to sell something that wasnt what it was

Yeah, I've seen few very dark blue tunics off ebay and I'm always ask questions before bid it!

I have the same as yours but has T-1 body (General Cuffed Ursus) that PNGwynne sold it to me last 6 days ago and received this morning..... I'm very upset to see this tunic has the wrong color..........

He told me his is black tunic, it is middnight blue........

Ambient light, flash and lack of color correction is always the devil, but I'm gonna concur; safe bet is deep/dark blue... and add, also observe the cuff lining in comparison.

If you don't have one, it's still a nice addition to a collection, but you might be disappointed if you're only looking for true black. Btw, this same challenge exists in the Lizard Skins and are often mis-listed.

Megoapesnut's Soldier Army pic has become a great variant-hound tool!... and there are still several other variants in the wild such as the "end-of-roll" vinyl and numerous knit variations. Some days it just sucks to collect Soldier Apes.

I did not realize this was a dark-blue Palitoy tunic--I will work out a refund with you of course.
