I have a Lion Rock question???

I almost hate to relate this story as I have labelled it as one of my "Dumbest Moments" in my life. The question is, After Mego went under, did they sell off the 6 inch or Lion Rock inventory to another company. Here is the reason I ask. Back in the early eightys before I got into collecting. I was in a GEE BEE's store waiting for a movie to start at the theater. I found a "Like" Lion Rock carded soldier and noted how MEGO-like the figure was. I can recall that the backing card for the figure did not have any Mego logo on it. At this time (1982-83) I had never seen a Lion Rock figure or known of thier exsistance.
You can probably guess why I call this one of my Dumbest Moments.

    Hmmmm....

There were a few different Lionrock soldier clones in the early 80's. I got t on of "War Heroes" at Dominion Playworld for $1 each. (I still have bits from most of them.) They were copies, although I don't know if they were old Mego stock or new casts. The bodies were actually BETTER than the authentic figures I've since accquired. (A lot of the old Lionrock stuff used a weird plastic for the hands, and most of the ones I've seen have crumbling digits.)
