    Tarzan Loin Cloth Variant

I just noticed that the loin cloth has two versions. One with the strap over the left shoulder & one with it being over the right. I was wondering if one version was more rare than the other.

Mego Tarzan : WGSH Gallery: Mego Museum

    Thanks!

that probably was just an error where the loin cloth was on backwards

If it is on backwards wouldn't the snap be in the front? It also can't be inside out, because of the stitching, right?

You're going by that photo in the gallery which is photoshopped (not sure why it was done). But if you look closely, you will see that the actual figure in the first issue box is the same exact figure in the second issue box but with the image mirrored. I would assume the 2nd issue box was not readily available at the time the entry was made. Look closer and you can see the the old 6 head logo at the bottom peeking through which has been covered with the later 6 head logo. But all should have it over Tarzan's right shoulder. There are none over his left, disregard that image as its only there to illustrate a box difference.

Yeah, that was done a long time ago and I cannot remember the reasoning behind. Most likely a "placeholder" image that never got tweaked...

I don't believe there are differnces in construction, but I have owned loincloths with different thread colors & screen-printed patterns.

OK. Here are pictures of my two Tarzans. The one that is on the Zica body, wasn't. I just changed it over last night, because I liked the Zaca body skin tone much better than the T1 body it was on & I don't have the body suit. As I was looking at those, I realized the difference. I had just gotten the other Tarzan in the mail from toys2cool. If you look in his thread you will see the one I am questioning was his to begin with.

I am still learning so much about these on a much more intricate level, therefore I am not 100% of anything, which is why I am asking. From what I am hearing this seems like an oddity.

              Thanks!

              Chris

Looks legit. Its possible there could be more sewn that way, likely all the ones sewn by a particular factory worker on a particular day were done that way. Simple as having the pattern backward. I suppose its a cool thing to have, but other than that, I'd be surprised if there was much interest in it.

^ I know what you mean: I have a t2 standard male hand, but molded in tan "chimp" color.

Very cool, but now I'm obsessed with finding its mate.

^ That sounds like a tough find. If I happen to find one, it's yours! I will keep my eyes out.
