AJ & POTA Astronaut helmet question
I noticed some helmets have ridges on the inside for a tighter fit to the head and some don't. Anyone know which of these came first and if they are found with both AJ and the Astronaut?

I think i read that some helmets had foam on the inside top to provide a better fit too.I looked at my AJ with an out of the box Scramble Cyclist outfit and it does have the inner ridges.Even with the ridges, it is a loose fit,it will fit on the Astronaut perfect with no movement.If i had to guess,i would say the non-ridge helmet came first then Mego made running changes to the helmet to get them to fit better.I wonder what the Dinah-Mite helmets are like? I have'nt looked at my Astronauts helmets yet,but i'm thinking that the majority of Astronauts came with the ridge type helmet.I'm just guessing here,maybe someone with a carded Astronaut(s) will chime in. Edited to add,i checked out the two loose Astronauts i have and they both have the non-ridge helmets.One of those i took off a boxed AJ outfit and the other i have no idea whether its original to that Astronaut or not.Last edited by piecemaker; Nov 12, '11, 12:57 PM. -
