What Year Did The Love Boat Figures Debut?

I was checking the galleries for an article I'm writing, but I couldn't find any information on what year the figures came out. I'm sure one of the Mego Overlords* can fill me in, or maybe one of my fellow members can tell me.

Please? There is no deadline on the article, but I have to know.
