    Batman shorts variants

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have a couple of different Batmen, and they have different fabrics used for the shorts portion of his bodysuit. One version is nylon, and the other version is the stretch lycra type of fabric, the same as the rest of his body suit, but of course black and not grey. Is one of the versions more rare, or earlier than the other, or should I not even care? Thanks,
    -Will

As far as I can remember, there are 3 major variations of Batman's shorts:

    1) Cloth - this is the most common, found on late-issue T1s and all T2s, IIRC
    2) Nylon - found on T1s, before the switch to cloth
    3) Canvas - similar in appearance to the nylon, but is much thicker and rougher in texture. Pretty tough to find, only found on T1s IIRC

So I guess I have only 2 different kinds. The cloth and the nylon. I dig the cloth (stretch Lycra) one more, and will keep that one on the better (type 2) of my two Batmen. I do have both a type 1 and a type 2 Batman. I like the type 2 better, even though the type 1 is older. The condition is about the same on both. So the type 2 with the cloth shorts will get the belt and gloves (I've only got 1 set of each of those). Thanks for the response warlock664.....
