    Some Dye Transfer help?

    Hey Dye experts...
Picked up this guy recently who is, with exception of the head and suit dye transfers, super nice shape.

Are there any recovery options? Can the neck dye trasnfer be minimized? I'm not above pulling the stitches on the white side for bleaching either. What are my best bets?
    Thanks for any help!

The boot is absolutely correctable, as to the rest, not so sure ...

Have a look at Twin Pines of Maine (http://www.twinpines.com/).

So far, I have used only their Remove Zit product. At first I was skeptical, particularly given the cost, but I now swear by the stuff. I've taken Magic Marker "beards" off vinyl heads and made a number of other "repairs" of that sort, including whitening Joe boots and an entire Moon McDare space suit.

I have seen a demo of the Remove Zit on MEGO bits like naugahyde vests and so on. I would think their fabric-related products could rescue the suit but don't know as I have not tried them. I would NOT recommend the Remove Zit for colored fabric as it can function like bleach.

I'm not certain what affect it might have on a stain of this type, but I've had some positive results using Amodex. It's ostensibly an ink remover but I've used it to take out a variety of mystery stains on a number of different fabrics. Again, not cheap but given what any of us have sunk into various toys, certainly worth it. I got it at Staples but any number of office supply stores should have it or you can order online.

My experience with synthetic fabrics is that bleach will not work, & may even damage the fabric. Peroxide-based cleaners like Oxyclean can work well, depending on the type of stain.

But I doubt the suit can be whitened much.

Regarding plastics/vinyl, my own experience with Remove-Zit was 50/50.

I think a soak in Oxyclean is your best bet for the suit. You can even scrub the white side, VERY gently, with a soft toothbrush and a paste of Oxy. You can try it on the head and boots too. It shouldn't hurt, and if it doesn't work, get yourself some of that Removezit.

As far as the boots you may try putting them in over the counter hydrogen peroxide then letting them sit in the sun.

There was a really inexpensive Cheron (that may have helped with acquiring a clean suit) on Ebay - but he ended so I removed the link
