American West body type?

I only see these on Type One bodies, and am wondering if that's the only way they came from Mego. I have a Cochise with issues, so I transferred his head and costume to a Type Two, but am thinking I need to swap him back to another Type One body. Info and/or thoughts? Were the Type Two bodies even around when these came out? I only remember seeing them fairly early on.
