    Spidey w/ red torso

Is the 8" Spidey w/ red torso any more valuable than the normal skin colored torso?

Only if it is original and not restrung or rehung

Maybe to a few variant collectors.

I'm noticing a trend of variants highlighted in Ben's book showing up on eBay with quotations from the WGST page.

That said, if you have one, and it's original, I don't have one.
        :-D

He did seem harder to get to me than the regular torso.I really need to get Ben's book. Not sure if these came on T1 bodies, mines on a T2.

It is harder to get, but probably not worth much more than a regular spiderman in the same condition. Unless like Bryan said a variant collector looking for one.

I personally like the red torso, since it looks better around the neck of the costume. I have a bunch of spiderman figures but only one with the red torso.

My original childhood Spidey has a red torso as does my boxed one. They are both T2.

reds would be T2. There were no red T1 torsos. Red came about after the Torch was released.

                  That definitely makes sense.

With Mego Spidey currently enjoying a resurgence in demand, I wouldn't be surprised if the red variant brings in a little better money. Not that unique in it's heyday, but could be desirable if supply is running low today.

You know, I thought I remembered a Spider-Man figure with a red body, but I wasn't sure whether I was imagining things or not. Thanks to one and all for letting me know I'm not losing my marbles....!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
