Neptunian outfits

From the "who cares" and "big deal" file comes these minor differences I noticed in the outfits of a couple Neptunians I have..

Notice the thicker and darker black "scales" on the one to the right, along with the subtle difference in shape.. and the slightly lower "V-neck" on the left..






Anyway.. that's what we're about here, right? The small stuff?

one would also note the faded 'yellow' underarm bits on the fellow to the left. The one with the heavier print on the scales does not seem to have faded on the wings (or whatever they are). Must have had a better batch of fabric and dye in the factory that week.

My Neptunian only has one yellw eye, the other one is not painted.

Sorry about this tangent, but as a kid I always wanted Mego to do Neptunian type wings on Spider-man with web designs so it would look like his "arm-pit webs" from the comics.

Neptunian was always my big regret for not getting as a kid and I'm happy to have the guy now.

The Neptunian is one of my favorite Megos. Probably my favorite. I never noticed any variants, but I only have 1 Neptunian.... Maybe I need another...

In 1975 when my Dad was transferred from South Carolina back to Alabama my best friend on base gave me his Neptunian as a going away gift. It took me years to find out who he was (I don't remember my friend ever telling me if he knew). I still have it and is a prize in my collection. But I couldn't tell you which version I have.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was never really big into variations even as a major Hot Wheels collector unless they were really obvious to the naked eye. I will have to dig mine out and check them out.

Mine too.., one of my all-time favorites, to use with so many lines: Trek, 1999, a WGSH swamp monster, you name it. It improves the look of any figure line ('cept perhaps the Dukes, Waltons or Our Gang..).

Just an all-around excellent, colorful figure with an outstanding head sculpt.

Given extra cash, I'd buy up a dozen for a Neptunian army.
