I have a type-2 torso that is cracked on both sides of the neck hole. I have tried glueing and clamping it with Krazy Glue and then later with Gorilla Glue. Is there any hope?

You could probably just find another beater Mego and replace that cracked torso. Or you could probably use fiberglass and epoxy resin...but it's easier to replace that to repair. Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.

there is a way i repair them..which works most of the time..it is easier to get a beater..but...if you have a steady hand use a very thin sharp blade.. heat it up until glowing red hot then while pinching the cracked body joint together push the edge of the blade in between the seam/cracked joint then back out again in order for the melted seams to heat and join back together..any excess plastic can be trimmed away..its a bit fidly but i love messing about with things
i have salvaged many bodys that would normally have been thrown away..Comment

It totally worked. You're right though, you must have a steady hand!
(I used a little propane torch to heat up an old-fashioned razor blade and a pair of pliers to grip the blade. Slid it in between the crack for a split second and then squeezed the plastic togeher as soon as I removed the blade. It worked like a charm!)Comment

So awesome! I'm going to try it with that split knee, when I find the plastic bag I placed all the parts in for safe keeping. Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.
