Mego Spidercar pole's?

I was wondering did mego use the same poles for the small spidercar as they did for the 8" figure's spidercar? I can't tell by the pictures and I'm thinking of buying the small car that has poles as my spidercar for the 8" is missing the poles. I'm guess they are too small but thought I'd ask if anyone knows that has both of theses car's.

Dam! I bought the small car with poles! Wish I got your answer before I did that. Oh well maybe I'll like the small spidercar. I think I have a pocket hero Spiderman someplace, now he can ride around in a car.
