    mego dr who question- cyberman

the denys fisher cyberman is different to any other mego- the head isnt made of the usual rubber but of a sort of blown vinyl- so im a little dubious about ripping the head off mine to swap the body over- although i have done it a couple of times- im a bit worried about splitting the neck lug.will it be ok?

the head of mine is sticky-i have scrubbed it with a toothbrush and detergent and it seems ok but i am wondering how you tell wether the stickiness is due to the plastic and how you stop it if it is?

also, the bodysuit on these things is legendarily hard to find in decent condition the silver peels off- so whats best- to make a new one by waiting to find matching modern silver material- or just using silver fabric paint? i know the company dylon do a very soft fabric paint- the silver cloth i have seen is either way too thin or way too shiny- its almost impossible to find mego thickness cloth in a dull silver.

    anyone advise?

As for the suit, Bleit1701 makes some nice silvery/grey bodysuits. Perhaps you could ask him for a pic of one to see if it's the right shade for your purposes. If he can do one in the larger Dennys Fisher size I think he could whip you up an Invasion or Revenge of... type suit. It won't have the loose, garbage bag look of earlier Cybermen suits. It will be more form fitting.
