Boxed Batman Question

A few months ago I won a Boxed Batman....box has Shazam in the header and the 1st "Mego" logo (not the MC logo)....figure came on a type 1 body...the emblem is cloth and the belt is the lighter shade of yellow...both are original (as far as I can tell)...I know the cloth emblems and the lighter yellow belts came on the later version Batman's as I have seen them on 79 card's...is it possible the cloth emblem and belt I have actually did come with this box or was the figure pieced together with original parts and placed into an original box? Any theories or insight?

I think anythings possible with Mego. Yours may have been in the shift from T1 to T2 bodies. I can't imagine Mego waisting cent.

Don, it's almost certainly a piece-together, based on the Cloth emblem. Not sure which exact Box variant you have, but whether it's the 4-digit (issued ~ Winter 1974) or the 5-digit "Old Logo" box (issued ~ Summer 1975), the male WGSH Cloth emblems didn't show up until ©1977 2nd Issue Cards, approximately Fall 1977.

Of course anything is possible, but I would seriously question the veracity of the piece in question. FWIW, I have never seen a Cloth Batman emblem in any box.

Thanks Ben....kind of what I figured but I thought I would ask...stuff like this drives me crazy, I wont be able to look at that figure until I get this corrected ....now I need to find someone to trade bat belts and emblems with
