I just got a Capt. Patch just like this one in an auction lot for less than $10. Can anyone explain why this auction for same figure is so expensive? Is Capt. Patch that rare? Just curious…

The one you got is probably a CTVT reproduction version.LOOK

I know Capt. Patch was knock-off put in Fighting Furies accessories to help sell 'em off. I got this Capt. Patch in auction with original Fighting Furies Capt. Hook, so I don't think he's CTVT. The version I received has hand joints that look more like a Mego type 1 except instead of metal rivet there's plastic. I have some CTVT figures and this one doesn't "feel" anything like those, I will double-check how the body is held together to see if it's CTVT bands or old-school strung.Comment

IMO that seller is way overpriced on most everything he sells. The original Mego Captain Patch has a patch on the left eye as does the CTVT. That's the best way to tell the difference.Last edited by scifiguy94; Feb 21, '11, 1:42 PM.Comment

Don't know if it helps or not, but the Capt. Patch I won looks exactly like the one posted in this current auction (link). I didn't have a chance yet to check for markings or tags on clothes. Maybe I'm wrong but prices seem crazy for a knock-off figure.Comment
