Vinyl Cape Supergirl Question

Happy Holidays to everyone!

I was wondering how rare the vinyl cape supergirl is? I had purchased a
Supergirl recently and am waiting to receive her. I noticed from a picture that the seller sent that she most likely has a vinyl cape. I am really wondering because if it is really rare I am worried it may not be original. It was not advertised as anything but a Mego Supergirl. The seller was selling it for his wife with others (all girls).

Probably the best thing you can do is post pictures once you have her securely in your hands, if you have doubt about its authenticity then.

It could be possible that its original,...i recently bought on Ebay a Thor that was simply advertised as a Thor in blah blah condition,..but did notice from the pics that the cape wasnt frayed, only wrinkled,..when i got it and verified, it had an original vinyl cape! So I flattened it out and now looks great.

Thank you so much - I am really glad too because I paid a bit too much ($100). The doll, cape, and shoes are good but as you can see in the picture the outfit and belt are kind of poor!!

I think once you wash that outfit in some gentle soap, you will be pleansantly surprised at how the Supergirl looks. Looking at the dark spots by the ankles - are they stiff? It's interesting that they're at the same place on either side. I hope no one tried to use glue to keep the shoes on. Let us know if they wash out. You can wash the cape too, but try doing it in a separate container than the suit, just in case the color bleeds. I've never had it happen, but since Mego's fabrics weren't always consistent so you want to be safe. If the belt being a little loose bothers you too much, you could always sew it a little tighter in the back. Are the shoes original? If so, it's not that bad a deal.

It was glue but they are the original shoes. The glue came off the shoes and most of the outfit. My biggest issue was the staining on the sholders, which I really dislike for some reason. I posted in the marketplace for an outfit but it is a bit tough. The belt could fit 3 dolls it is so stretched!!

Actually, I think that was a good price, even if it wasn't a vinyl cape, you did very well.

Thank you, I feel better because I basically just bought parts!! I really was not expecting the real vinyl cape but thought it was a fake! I think if it were, it would not have been such a good deal!!
