The repro CA bodies are just a tad bit shorter than the Ideal bodies. Most of the height difference is in the neck, however. So, yes, the costumes are interchangeable.
I have noticed that the Kid action figure can 'shrink' quite a bit. The pelvis section of KA is made of a softer pvc vinyl rather than the hard plastic the Ideals were done with. On KA, I have noticed that it tends to stretch out a bit and let the torso sink down making the figure shorter.Comment

This is so true indeed with the KA......but pelvis can be shrunken at the top to lengthen the torso carefuly with a heat utensil....as its pliable. The repro CA bodies are just a tad bit shorter than the Ideal bodies. Or stand a bit weird... Also the KA costume paint may bleed to the KA figure and stain it...The repro CA bodies are just a tad bit shorter than the Ideal bodies. Most of the height difference is in the neck, however. So, yes, the costumes are interchangeable.

Just my experience, but the CA Batman costume I have hadn't been on a figure in years and I could not get the plastic/vinyl shorts part to pull up on a Playing Mantis repro figure, I was sure it was gonna rip as tight as it was so I stopped. When I eventually found a vintage figure it went right on smoothly. Just be careful and take your time and if you run into the problem I had maybe heating the vinyl shorts part of the costume with a hairdryer will allow it to stretch just a little and go on safely.Comment

The best PM figure to get is the one that came with the KayBee Tonto set. It looks the most like a vintage Ideal CA, and there is no staining of the figure from the costume, like the CA or GH sets. The Flash Gordon CA has a super ugly face (bad paint apps,) so I stay away from that one.sigpicSWEAR TO ME!Comment
