Hi Everyone!!
I am new here but have been collecting Mego since age 7 (1976). I have really been into Star Wars for many years but have recently been trying to put together a Mego Star Trek loose variation set (T1 painted and non painted lips, T2, and Aliens).
I purchased a Romulan from LandL collectables (Laura is awesome and a really big help) and while waiting for him to arrive I saw one on Ebay with a card and bubble that I thought would be awesome to display if I ever wanted to collect them on the card again (I really spent too much money this month!!). I really know the one from LandL is 100% vintage because of who they are. The one from Ebay seems to be 100% Mego as well.
MEGO Romulan – Star Trek Aliens – Comp Vintage 1976 NM - eBay (item 230488254360 end time Jun-15-10 14:57:22 PDT)
My question is that the helmets have different gold plateing. The one from LandL is a light gold and the one from Ebay is like a copper. Both are shiny and neither has been painted. Is this a variation or degredation?
Very best regards,
Joe
