Mego underwear colors

I remember as a kid my Mego superheroes having blue, red or maybe green underwear, but all the Megos I picked up recently have flesh colored undies. Was there any rhyme or reason to the underwear color? Did only type 1 or type 2 have certain colors?

you mean the pelvis piece for the body? only type 2 had the underwear pelvis. I am sure there was a timeline to colors...I remember most being blue and some flesh. the brown was for the brown bodies, red for the torch body....later figures like the Dukes got black

I liked the colored pelvis/underwear parts. Made it easy as a kid to take them to the beach. Instant bathing suit.

I could be wrong, but I think some of the Dukes came with brown pelvis' too. I know I've had several, but they could have been frankenmegos.

If I had only owned one or two, that's what I would think, but I've had quite a few (Luke Dukes especially) with a brown pelvis. One in particular came from a lot that I'm pretty sure was from the original owner who didn't have any ape stuff in there at all.
