Suddenly occurred to me that a way to re-do melted eyes might be to pop the old ones out and replace with a bead, superglued in. The pupil could then be painted on.

Wouldn't glow, but it's an option.

There are little glow in the dark BB pelets for Air Soft I wonder if they would work for repair?

Here's a pic of my childhood Mummy's head (the rest of him is long lost, but I just can't bring myself to throw this one remaining part away, it's part of my childhood). With the hollowed out eye sockets, I think he looks even creepier.

Bring him back! You can do it, find a doner body and cusotmize him. Looks very scary without eyes.

bought my first Mad Monster today.

no eye melt, and I hope it stays that way, but at least I know if it doesn't, that replacements aren't too hard to find, and I can even pop out the eyes for a creepier look!

I understand Mattel SUNSHINE FAMILY dolls do the same thing. My wife's Sunshine dolls have the creepy eye melt, which is much worse when seen on 'normal' looking characters!

I'm sure there was a thread about this years ago which suggested that gravity plays it's part too ie. there's less chance of it happening if you don't have the figures stood (or at least there's less chance of noticing it).

Yeah, I guess if they're stored on their back, then the goop would drip into the head rather than out of it. That does make sense.

Crap, after all of this I took a closer look at my figures and all are fine except Wolfie! And he is a real nice T2 Wolfman in mint condition except for the eye melt! I would have sworn none of my figures had it.

...which raises the question: Do some of the characters more commonly suffer from eye melt than others? I've had several clean Mummies and Franks. Dracula seems to suffer from eye melt more than either of those two, but I think every Wolfman I've owned has had eye melt. Anyone else see this trend?

When I was a kid my Dracula's eyes would just pop out. I'd take them out and put them back in so the iris didn't show. Blank glowing eyes. They are like little plastic glowing bb's with red iris'.
