Soldier ape prototype on the action stallion box

Other than what's in the museum gallery, can someone either post or email me some high resolution photos of this figure? Dave and I want to do a repro custom, and we need some good reference for the outfit. I've been told that only one exists. Don't know if that's true or not, but if anyone in here has one (or it), some detailed photos would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    SC

Ever since I was a kid I have wanted those apes prototypes. I didn't know they were protos back then. I was mad I could never find them in those outfits.
Would that be something you'd be making multiples of for sale?

These are toyfair prototypes, but I don't think they are the exact same prototype as on the box, but the construction is similar.

Yeah, that's the plan, Rich. Gotta get some good reference first, though.
Dave's really got his work cut out for him with that outfit. I have some awesome ideas for a box, too.

Sandy--here's a high res scan of the Stallion box front.

Its looks like segment single pieces unbacked vinyl stitched together possibly stitched to a backing cloth ,the front segments not stitch to the backing cloth ,but over lapping & stitched to the each edge to give that armor plating look.

the gloves look like the first part was folded down and then the second was added and folded down and then the third piece was added
i say the one mego scott has displayed is possible the very first one, the one on the box was made later for photos shots.
