I would imagine something like that could be possible, although I'd bet it's really a very dark brown version of the regular color.
Could also be a fake.

the mego zira figures i have seen ,and i have a lot,and everything i ever read about,there never was a black haired zira ,how ever some early ziras did have very dark brown hair,their faces are lighter in color and most often have the tunic with black or brown vinal scroll plate,they look more like seen in the movies compared with the later figuresComment

C'mon, Mike. Don't be shy. Everyone around here knows you're the resident ape guru and keeper of all ape knowledge. I bet you know what color underwear actor Maurice Evans was wearing in his portrayal of the good Dr. Zaius, in all the ape council scenes in "Planet of the Apes". Possibly even the style and thread count... I would also bet that you'd even know if Mrs. Zaius wrote his name in them when he went off to summer ape camp.
