Rare Mego Ape Tunic variant?

Please forgive the lousy photography. I've had this is my collection for about 15 years. I've never seen another tunic with cuffs that go up past the elbows. The color is a cranberry-ish brown. The cuffs are also more rounded than the other cuffs I've seen.

Well, they look like gloves with the mitten material missing.

Nope, they don't slide off. Everything looks factory sewn to me.

I'd have to agree with theressa, it looks like someone customized it with a pair of gloves. They are straight as opposed to the sewn on gantlets that were flared.

Yep, the mitten part looks nipped off.

Someone ripped the hand part off the gloves and sewed them on. Not saying it couldn't have been done at the factory, but that's definitely what we're looking at here, no question.

its a transition piece from when Mego switched from gloves to gauntlets, very valuable. I know you would never sell it, but I'd like to offer $1000 anyway.
