What do you think - same company?

I recall reading in Benjamin Holcomb's book that Mego manufactured inexpensive lure items early on which were known in the toy industry as "hush up" toys. In other words, parents would buy them to get their kids to shut up. Recently came across the toy pictured below - JFK sitting in a rocking chair. Package says "Buy Mego" and says "Hush Up Toys Rock Chair". What do you guys think? Is this the same Mego or just a coincidence?

Way too old to be that. Somebody has to have some knowledge on this. They did have a number of items on this level prior to getting into the action figure lines but I'm not certain on what they had. Seems like too much of a coincidence. Definitly a cool piece, especially if it is early Mego. Nice find.

I think this has been discussed once before and I think I remember it was the real deal.
I remember because of that "Buy Mego" in stead of "By Mego"

Good point. I don't see the JFK name on the card - just advertised as such by the seller. Sure looks like him though. I didn't buy so if you want the link I can send on to you if you are interested.
