Any one know who his blue helmet/headgear belongs to?

I'm trying to identfy who the blue helmet/headgear on Tigerman's (from Buck Rogers) head belongs to or if it is even Mego? Haven't seen any pics of Tigerman with this on but he came with it and it fits him fine. This is a 3 3/4" Tigerman torso. It has a half star on each side along with another symbol and is not marked by any maker.

Any ideas? I tried Thor and Aquaman...no luck.
