I've never really gotten into them. However I have recently had a change of heart with CTVT. I bought their Wyatt Earp and Wild Bill Hickok and I must say I really like 'em. While I wouldn't shell out much for the pirates I may however get a set of their reissues. So what does that mean... IMO... I think that someone would have to be a real purist for them to get a good sale price. I hope you find that person. How rare are they?

i think it's like $300 for a loose set and about double for a boxed set. but you don't see them to often

I hope to get original pirates someday. Not really hunting for them at the moment. They aren't super common, especially complete and original.

I think the hardest part is finding the loose accessories. Some pirates seem to pop up more than others also. I'm guessing Blackbeard is the most common followed by Long John Silver.

This is so true. I have been looking for 2 original pirate pistols for over 10 years with no luck. I don't really want to buy a mint boxed pirate to get them.
