    Super Glue on an Outfit

Is there a way to remove Super Glue residue from a mostly polyester outfit?

be kind of hard ... but one thing you might want to give a try before using harsh cleaners, is just to let it soak for a few days in warm water and joy liquid dish soap about at 30% soap 70% water mix

then after a few days if all goes right ... the glue will have semi loosened to where maybe you could pick at it with your finger nail or something and see how that works.

if that doesn't work ... try lighter fluid and let it soak in that.

but if it's a suit that has colors that will run ... it's going to make it much harder.

I've already gone the dishwashing liquid and nail polish remover route. Neither one worked. I haven't tried lighter fluid though.

      The suit's colors won't run.

Nail polish remover won't work unless it has acitone in it. I would use acitone and a cotton swab. but check first somewhere it won't show to see what it does. Like on an inside seam extra cloth. Acitone is what dissolves superglue. I don't know of anything else.

Goo Gone...there's something about the orange acid that breaks down glue. It worked for me when I had to get some glue off of a Clark Kent shirt I won in a lot a while back. I used Goo gone on the spots that had the Glue residue and then a left the shirt in warm water and woolite and it helped get the rest of the glue to come off. Try it...you never know.
