Maybe you just had some bad glue,I've had good luck with it in the past, sometimes it works to well.

I've glued a lot of them that fall apart and some hold very well. I think it is the individual body part and when it was manufactured.

I've never had superglue work on these type of waxy plastics that the Megos are made of. My suggestion is to just swap them off of another mego or get some repro ones.

I transplanted some feet off of a broken ctvt body I got in a trade. They are a bit pale for the mego body, but all I really need them for is to keep his boots from falling off

                      Hmmmm....

That kind of plastic doesn't take glue well at all. Swapping out pieces is your best bet; but if you HAVE to glue 'em, use a pin vice to run some rods through the broken parts and use two part epoxy on 'em.

So true, Although I've had great luck using epoxy, I always score the surfaces with sand paper. The plastic tends to break in very smooth cracks. Pin and score. I try to avoid Superglue due to it's ability to break down the structure of plastic. While it will adhere, the fusion process makes that area brittle.
I start with a paper clip. By hand I get it as straight as I can, then using needle nose plyers to straighten it further. Next, using a pair of cheap nail clippers, notch the wire with tiny little rings. This will help the glue hold onto the metal. With another piece of paper clip, needle nose plyers and a butane torch, hot pin the holes. Leave the pin in the plastic til it cools and remove. Using a hobby knife, remove the bubble ring from around the holes. After scoring the fusion surfaces, use a tooth brush to remove as much debris as possible. Then glue.
