T-2 pelvis colors

I have noticed diff T-2 pelvis colors on various figures.I have seen dark+light blue,black and white.
Does this have any bearing on anything,or just factory using parts on hand?
Just wondering.....

I'm guessing some of it is parts on hand, or more appropriately what color is being churned out at the particular point in the run... or which factory the figures were being produced.

I suppose part of it might be intentional though... For instance, almost all of the Trek crew figures I've come across have had the dark blue pelvis, with a few lighter blue ones here and there. And all of the Chips and Dukes of Hazard figures I've run into have had the black.

I've seen brown ones too.That's a good question.I've always wondered if certain pelvis colors were specific to specific MEGO lines.

certain lines got different colored ones. others just got what they were using at the time. There is at least:
green, red, pale blue, light blue, dark blue, caucasian , tan, brown, orange, black

When I bought a couple of "blowout" megos at Toys R us in ... 1985, maybe? The Batman had a blue pelvis and the Spiderman, Red. To me, this indicated that it was a later, end-of-the-run kind of thing they were doing, but I don't know if there's other evidence to support this.

I just came across my first colored pelvis yesterday. Until now, I've only seen flesh colored. I got a dark blue pelvis on Shazam and I was wondering if there was any reason he'd be different then the others. I guess it's random unless we're talking Dukes?

It depends on what year the figure was released.
