Just how common is RC BatMan

He does seem to pop up on ebay quite regularly.

Only when I'm looking for one is he uncommon. They do seem to pop up a lot on eBay, but the tough part is usually finding one in solid condition that has no repro at all. I still rely on the scarcity index in the library when assessing issues like these. The RC Bats is rated a 6.

What Orion says is true. Finding one completely original is harder to do. Plus collectors look for particulars on RC Bats too -The skinny boot version; The translucent belt; ribbed costume; original decal; and the purplish cape. Since the standard molded Batman was mass marketed for many years after the RC style, many people have pieced the accessories from that figure to complete their RC Batman.

My RC Bats has several pieces that are probably from a molded cowl Batman, but the head and cowl are correct and original, so it's close enough for me.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

it's more of a demand than rare. RC Bats is like the mego of megos, looks great with the mask on ... looks great with the mask off. all megos want to be as cool as RC Bats. lol

just common batman belts can be a pain to find ... then the oven mitts man they are a huge pain. then with nylon shorts that fray so easy ... but still just a common RC wyane head with nothing but a broken T1 body can hit $35 on it's own.

but at the same time ... deals can be found, I nabbed one complete not long ago for under $50 complete and all original besides the emblem.

rc bats are not particularly rare, but they are very desirable. So the value is in the demand. Certainly one of the easiest variations to recognize as well, so even non variant collectors probably want one on the shelf.

I guess my question was how many RCs to painted cowl, because I just got that impression that they were almost as common, unlike RM Robin who you never see. Hell yeah, RC Bats is way cool!

shoot I'd say more like 1 to 25 maybe even greater ... molded cowl bats are everywhere ... you buy a mego lot there's a 95% chance it has a molded cowl in it ... maybe two lol. shoot a molded cowl batman head seems more common than a spiderman head.
