Something that I've always wondered about are the clothing tags sewn into the costumes. Some of them have them, some don't,.. and then the labels themselves vary, as I've seen them with different letters ranging from A to P. So, what do these letters represent?

Some of the tags don't say "Mego", thay say "made in Hong Kong". The letter probably represents the factory the figures were made at.Last edited by LonnieFisher; Jan 24, '10, 8:30 AM. -
I thought that at first too... but, with at least 16 different letters. If each was a factory, that's an awful lot of them just for producing the clothing. I'm no expert on their production though, so I wouldn't know.Comment

I would think it was some sort of control number. So you would know what was being made where. In case something needed to be addressed production wise. Maybe certain numbers go with certain outfits? Or maybe it has something to do with the roll of tags it's self. Like when to change the ribbon to get more printed. Or so you know how many are left on the ribbon of tags? I know I have some that are cut in the middle of the "Mego".Comment
