Type One (T1) hand repair question

    Hola,

I've got a T1 Spidey that's hand broke at the plug so I'm looking for a way to pop or dislodged the bottom half. Any suggestions on how to deal with the metal rivet? Or am I beter off dremeling away to freedom? TIA

You will want to boil that part.
First boil the water until is bubbling then dip part for about 5 minutes. Then pull out fast with needle nose pliers pull the part out without touching the outer parts of the wrist. Have to do it fast before plastics cools off, which is fast.
    Worked for me numerous times.

I'd dremel it if there isn't enough to grab with needle nose pliers.

Why not just use a long screw instead of buying the tool?

it has a handle so you can add torque and pressure while drilling/or screwing it in.
If you ever try to put a screw in a unprepared surface(without predrilling a guide hole or or a deadblow hold maker) it is extremely difficult to hold the screw and screw it in.this eliminates the problem.
