Anyone remember Mego Planet of the Apes GIANT action figures ?

I had this Mego Museum flash-back.

A good many years ago someone posted pictures of huge Mego Planet of the apes figures Corny, Zira and perhaps Dr Zaius..

These figure were like 1-1/2 to 2 feet tall ... if i'm remembering correctly.

I think they were store displays --- but were dead-ringers for their small counterparts.

Does anyone remember this ? ... and did anyone keep photo's of them.

Would just like to see them again.

Now THATS something Id like to see,..if they ever where, although I do remember a plush Corny that big,..but dont know if it was a mego....

Rethinking about this, I'm pretty sure it all started out as an ebay auction ...

The person (not a Museum member) was ebaying them and we had a discussion about them.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it was sometime around 2002-2003-ish.

I KINDA remember the figures.... not too well though. I think they were some kinda high end collectible; like them 2 foot monsters that came out in the 90's.

I always wanted those giant pin-ups. Some crack-smoker was trying to get $500 for some of those on ebay.
