    I thought a head was a head!

Ok, so now that I got the fist-fighter Batman to work, I thought he should have a head and thanks to Amy, I got one, only I guess it's not the right size. It has a short neck plug, so I thought it would be OK, but it's too loose. Poor Batman looks like a nodder head! When he fist fights his head turns all the way around. (He's POSSESSED! ) I really hope another head won't be needed. Any suggestions on how I can fix the one I have now?

Sorry Sharry, I didn't realize you needed a specific neck plug! I don't own any Fist-Fighters, so I'm not even sure what kind of plug they should have.

It's not your fault, Amy, I don't blame you. Like I said I thought a head was a head. I didn't know about specific neck plugs.

IN Ben's book there is a good overview of the different plugs. If you don't have your own copy of "Worlds Greatest Toys" IMO it is so worth the money.

Unfortunately the Fist Fighter heads are specific to those figures. only thing I can tell you is try to find a beater Fist Fighter Batman with a good head. UK Ebay is usually good for Fist Fighters...see them more over there than here.

The fist-fighters have a wider neck hole. That is probably why they didn't make more characters. They would have had to make all new molds for the heads. Such a shame.

FF neckplugs are shorter to accommodate the FF mechanism, so I'm not sure why you're having such an issue. It sounds like a sawed-off type 1 because a T2 and a FF can be interchanged, but the heads will catch in the other bodies when you turn them.

Pop a T2 of anyone into the FF and see what happens. If it swings, then it might be the torso. The width between the FF and T2 is not that drastic.

The hole in the torso is larger than the other bodies. The neck on the fist-fighters is wider so it fits. The regular heads wobble like a bobble-head.

This won't help you in creating 100% original FF,... but something that you might be able to do to help make the neck tighter is to insert a peg, like a section of wooden dowel inside the hole of the neckpeg to stretch it outwards a bit. I haven't tried it myself, as I think it may make getting the head onto the body a bit more difficult... so it's just a theory.

Be really carefull pulling the head back out if you decide to change it. The FF torso is much more brittle than a regular body and they crack really easily around the neck hole.
For your info' i've had a few Batman FFs with loose heads and i've no reason to suspect they were head swaps - just the way they left the factory.

Thanks for all your suggestions, guys. But you'll be happy to know that I solved my own problem. I just wedged a clear piece of plastic in the space between the neck plug and hole. While it is a little visible, once Batman's cape is on, you can't even see it, and the head turns normally. Problem solved!

I'm pretty sure you have some head swaps. They manufactured heads just for the fist fighter. There is a difference in the heads, and all the fist fighters had their own head molds. They shouldn't be loose.

The head on the left side might be the head you are looking for can't really tell for sure:

Possibly, but a lot of the stuff here in the UK has quirky little differences that I suspect was down to using whatever was at hand. It's only ever been on the Batman figures which have come from original owners. Let's face it, we'll never really know.
