That's why I posed the shield right by the screen in my pic. In case anyone wanted a scan.

That's not true. I just made all of it up.

Even if that shield was real, why would it be called an "eagle shield" anyway? Where's the eagle??? The mention of this damn shield has been bugging me for years now.
Maybe this is why someone named it the Eagle Shield.

Ah, that makes sense (about 100...Geddit?? I'm so witty!)
But you'll have to forgive me for not thinking of the connection, I was born in Canada, that's the excuse I'm going with anyway.

Did Brian make that up just to screw with Ledy collectors?
It's quite possible MX collectors made it up to screw with Brian.

When I started Foreignmego, every bit of information I found was new, every figure I pulled out of boxes was exciting to me when it arrived because I'd never seen it. I took every piece of info I could and relayed it back here, the contradiction was amazing!

I'd get told "I know a guy who has a boxed Tarzan, but I don't go there, his mother is a witch!" by one collector.

Then another guy would say: "There is no Ledy Tarzan, put it out of your head, it is a dream"

Needless to say, I got screwed A LOT in those days, lots of lies and BS, fakes and false amigos. It's one of the reasons I kind of burned out but getting back to the subject at hand:

The "Eagle Shield" came out of one of those conversations, a collector (who seems to have retired now) who hooked me up with a lot of wonderful things mentioned that there was a variant that had an eagle on the shield sticker. I've never seen it but put it up on the site for informational purposes. I always assumed I would find it like the Ledy Joker, the figure that actually "broke my brain".

No matter how many animals attacked you, the path you've cut through the jungle of confusion makes it a lot easier for guys like me. I'm so gullible and excitable, it's easy for me to get caught up in a load of BS when it concerns these figures.

I totally get the "false amigos". You're always their friend till they have your money. I'm thankful there's some good people out there too.

I've already accepted the fact that Ledy Joker doesn't exist. Gotta save my brain. I already tried to break it years ago.

Thanks for the share, Brian. I can totally picture what you are saying, and I love your salt. Always make me smile.

I gotta say that I do indeed look for Guason every single day. I figure that if I don't, then I'll probably miss it.

Thanks for the clarification Brian. I can certainly see how one could get burnt out by things like that. Those days must have been exciting but extremely frustrating at the same time.

Ok, here's a related question for you guys: is there any noticable difference between a Ledy Cap shield and a Mego Cap shield? Does anyone have a genuine Ledy shield to make comparisons with? Or if I have a Mego shield with my Ledy Cap, is that considered as good as it can get.

                              For anyone interested:
Marx 6 inch Capt America figure's shield can be removed from the figure. Since the originals are too expensive, I recommend using a Mexican reproduction. I've found them for around $5 US.
