LEDY Capitan America Shield

I have seen Capitan pictured with two different styles of shield,the round style and another style.Was he issued both styles at different times?

Foreignmego mentions an "eagle shield" and I've always wondered what that was. I don't recall seeing a pic of a Ledy Cap with a different shield, I'd be curious to see one.

Eagle Shield,yeah i couldn't think of what it was called.I think i saw it in a pic of some of Bryans collection.I would like to see a closeup pic of it.

Yeah,page eight of the I Love Mego.........Ledy thread shows a Capitan with an eagle shield.

Oh yeah, I remember that pic now. I thought I asked Bryan about it and he said it was a custom or something. Unless I'm imagining that conversation...what was the deal again Bryan?

So what in tarnation is the "eagle shield". Did Brian make that up just to screw with Ledy collectors?

If it exists, I've certainly never heard of it or seen one. Of course, that means nothing. There's a lot I haven't seen or heard of.

Yes, on the Palitoy Brian ForeignMEGO pages, there is mention of Capitan America Ledy shield, but that is the only place I have seen one other than the custom one I picked up and last summer sold to my buddy, Heefus BoBeefus.

That looks Like the sheild from remco figures from the 80's.
And in the comic book CA had a shield similar before he got round one

These days, my mind plays tricks on me when I'm awake too, getting old is fun.

Even if that shield was real, why would it be called an "eagle shield" anyway? Where's the eagle??? The mention of this damn shield has been bugging me for years now.
